The eco-tannery Saigon TanTec has recently inaugurated its new solar thermal facility, which will cover 35% of its hot water needs. This is the first project carried out by SEN Vision in collaboration with its partner Aschoff Solar GmbH in the field of thermal solar energy.
The facility comprehends 120 panels in an area of 400 m2, which heat 30 m3 water up to 65ºC. Every single step in the process is automatically monitored and can be controlled by software. An extension of the plant is foreseen by the end of the year.
Saigon TanTec has been awarded the 2nd Prize in Energy Efficiency from the German Energy Agency in view of its consistent implementation of innovative technologies in the field of energy and environmental engineering.
